Qld: Oppn calls for bipartisan approach to indigenous issues

BRISBANE, Feb 20 AAP - Queensland Opposition Leader Lawrence Springborg has called
for a bipartisan approach to tackling indigenous issues.

The move followed the apology to the stolen generations delivered by Prime Minister
Kevin Rudd and invitation to federal coalition leader Brendan Nelson to jointly chair
a commission on indigenous reform.

Mr Springborg said he would like to see Queensland Premier Anna Bligh accompany him
on a tour of Aboriginal communities to address progress made since the state parliament
passed its own "sorry" …
